Algae Covered Wood Deck

Email this page.

Clare sent in her pictures of her wood deck that was covered with algae. In her email, she stated...

"I wanted to restain my wood deck but it had algae growing on it. I had put it off for 2 years because of the algae. I scrubbed the deck with StainSolver. After an hour and a half, the algae was gone and I was down to the worn wood is some areas and bare wood in other. Love this product!"

Wow! Great photos!

I replied to her that if she tries using Stain Solver one more time on DRY wood - allowing it to soak in for 30 minutes - then scrub it with a stiff scrub brush, she could possibly remove all the worn wood stain.

I asked her to try it and send in a second after picture. I will update this article if she sends in a second after picture.

Here is the type scrub brush that she could use.
