I received the Stain Solver, as promised, and set it aside until after the holidays, thinking I would wait to tackle the grout job until all of the confusion was over. However, it was put to use unexpectedly last night.
We had just finished a large family dinner, complete with prime rib and red wine, when my husband bumped a side table with an open bottle of red wine on it, spilling it all over our off-white dining room carpet, as well as on the tile and white grout of an adjoining entryway. We did the soda water trick on the carpet, then switched to a standard carpet spotter, which was a big mistake. The stain turned dark and ugly and refused to budge.
