Use Instructions
READ ENTIRE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING: Stain Solver is an environmentally safe oxygen bleach. It cleans and deodorizes virtually anything that is water washable. Use it to remove stains from an expensive blouse, linen tablecloth, carpet, etc. Clean outdoor decks, patios, sidewalks, siding, decks and roofs. Totally eliminate pet odors and pet stains.Stain Solver is not the perfect cleaner. It can't remove rust stains or hard-water deposits. Never use Stain Solver on coarse woolen articles, wool carpet, silk or new redwood. It can darken all of these things. If something can be cleaned with soap and water, it can almost always be deep cleaned using Stain Solver.
WORKING WITH STAIN SOLVER:
All mixing instruction on this label refer to dry measure. Use a
kitchen measuring cup. For example, if this label says to use 2 oz of
Stain Solver, that is the same as 1/4 cup. Dissolve Stain Solver in
warm or hot tap water for most applications. Use cold water as
indicated on this label for special stains. Add the powder to water and
stir for 2 or 3 minutes until completely dissolved. Once this powder is
mixed with water, it creates stain-removing oxygen ions for only 4 to 6
hours. You can extend the shelf life of Stain Solver by keeping the lid
tightly sealed and the product cold or even frozen. Heat and humidity
degrade Stain Solver.COLOR AND FABRIC SAFE: Stain Solver is not harsh like chlorine bleach. It will not destroy fabrics nor fade colors. Caution: Color in some naturally dyed articles can be altered by Stain Solver. Always wash these special articles separately with mild concentrations of Stain Solver to test. Never soak or wash different-colored articles together at the same time. Do not spot clean articles - ALWAYS soak the entire garment.
CLOTHING RESTORATION - LAUNDRY AID: Stain Solver works best as a pre-soak agent. Soaking for hours is best. Mix 2 to 4 ounces of Stain Solver per gallon of water. Always use cold water for blood and grass stains. Make enough solution so the article can be fully immersed. Agitate the article every 30 minutes if possible to ensure the oxygen solution soaks all areas.
Fresh stains are easier to remove than old stains, but Stain Solver has removed set stains that are up to 30-years old! Repeated soakings and stronger concentrations may be necessary on tough stains. Some stains such as barbeque and mustard may not disappear until the garment air dries.
Use Stain Solver as a regular laundry booster. Add 4 oz. to a load using the soak cycle of the machine. Allow to soak for at least 30 minutes to remove hard stains and odors. Agitation during the soak cycle enhances the stain and odor-removing properties of Stain Solver.
CARPETS / PET STAINS / ODORS: Mix 2 to 3 oz. of Stain Solver per gallon of water to remove stains from carpets, including red wine and pet stains. Allow solution to soak for up to an hour. This same concentration will deodorize pet stains. Repeated applications may be necessary if the stain or odor is deep set or has soaked into a carpet pad. Apply with a spray bottle or lightly dab with a sponge. Flood-soaked carpet should be wet-vacuumed before cleaning the entire carpet with Stain Solver. Test solution under a sofa before using on open areas of carpet. Wood floors can be cleaned with Stain Solver. Use sparingly to avoid swelling and cupping of wood floors. Unfinished wood can be cleaned with Stain Solver, but avoid soaking the wood.
KITCHENS: Use Stain Solver to deodorize garbage disposals and drains. Fill sink halfway with hot water. Add 6 oz. of Stain Solver. Stir with spoon until dissolved. Turn on disposer as solution is draining from sink. Do not run water from the faucet. Remove food stains from plastic containers. Fill containers completely with warm water and mix in one teaspoon of Stain Solver. Let sit for 4 hours. Clean porcelain and stainless-steel sinks using the same method, but add 4 oz. of Stain Solver per sink bowl.
TILE GROUT: Mix 4 oz. of Stain Solver per gallon of water to clean floor and wall grout. Dissolve in warm water. Pour solution onto grout liberally. Allow to soak for 10-15 minutes. Scrub grout with a stiff nylon brush. Rinse well with clear water. Bathroom floor grout may need to be treated with vinegar to remove hard-water stains before using Stain Solver. For wall grout, apply the solution with a spray bottle. Keep grout wet for 30-45 minutes, not allowing the grout to dry. Scrub with a stiff brush. Wall grout is the hardest thing to clean.
WOOD DECKS: Mix 6 oz. per gallon of warm water, stir until dissolved. Apply to dry wood for best cleaning results. One gallon of solution should clean 70-100 square feet of deck surface. Apply liberally and do not allow solution to dry. Keep deck surface very wet with solution for 15 minutes, then scrub with a stiff scrub brush on a pole or a push broom. Rinse deck well with clean water. Avoid power washing, although a 25-degree tip can be used to rinse the deck after hand scrubbing. Stain Solver will not harm surrounding vegetation. The oxygen solution helps the plants. CAUTION: Stain Solver can sometimes cause redwood to darken. New redwood is most susceptible. Test on a small area always.
ROOF CLEANING: Mix 8 oz. per gallon of warm water. Stir until dissolved. Use to clean black or green algae from roofs. Apply solution liberally to a cool roof surface on a cloudy day or in the shade. Let soak for 20 minutes never allowing solution to evaporate. Scrub with a push broom. Test on a small area to see how easy it is to use before attempting large areas. Roofs wet with this solution are slippery and very dangerous. Be extremely careful so as not to fall.
GENERAL-PURPOSE CLEANING: Mix 2 oz. per gallon of water to clean boats, fiberglass, sails, cushions, garbage cans, iced tea and coffee makers, dentures, picnic coolers, patio furniture, aquariums, mud stains from flooding, mildew, mold, grease, wine stains, food stains of any type, etc. Let soak. The longer you let things soak, the less you have to scrub.
SAFETY AND HANDLING: Stain Solver is an oxidizer. It will cause burns to eyes, open sores, cuts, or any mucus membrane. Wear eye protection if there is any chance the solution will splash or drip into your eyes. If splashed into your eyes, rinse eyes immediately with fresh, clean water. Drink water or milk if Stain Solver is swallowed. Do NOT induce vomiting. SEEK medical attention immediately taking this container with you. NEVER store Stain Solver solution in a tightly sealed container as the product produces oxygen gas once mixed with water. The sealed container will explode. NEVER mix this product with chlorine bleach or ANY other chemical.
CONTENTS: The active ingredient in Stain Solver is peroxyhydrated carbonate of soda. When mixed with water, it creates pure oxygen, additional water and soda ash. There are no harmful byproducts.
