Have you ever noticed how quickly your floor tile grout can become stained and dull? No matter how often you mop, the stains seem to remain, making your once sparkling floors look tired and worn. Fortunately, there is a solution. Stain Solver is a safe, versatile, and effective cleaning product that can help you get your floors looking like new again.
In our humble opinion it's the single best grout cleaner on the market!
Let’s take a look at how Stain Solver works and why it’s the perfect choice to clean tile grout. Then we'll share a case study from one of our customers who has used Stain Solver to clean their own grout.
What is Grout?
Grout is a type of material used to fill the gaps between tile flooring, typically made from cement or other minerals. You'll find grout most commonly on tile floors, especially in bathrooms and kitchens.
Unfortunately these rooms see lots of use, and grout can become stained and dirty over time. The grout can trap dirt, soap scum, mold and mildew and all sorts of other contaminants. This is where Stain Solver comes in - it is one of the best grout cleaners out there, and can help you restore dirty grout in any part of your home.
Because Stain Solver uses oxygen power and not chlorine bleach you can use it on white and colored grout.
Step-By-Step Guide to Cleaning Floor Tile Grout with Stain Solver
Here is a great video by the founder of Stain Solver, Tim Carter, that shows his process for doing a deep clean on your grout with Stain Solver.
As you can see, cleaning floor tile grout with Stain Solver is easy! All you need is a little bit of time, and a small amount of elbow grease. For the easiest grout cleaning experience, here's what we recommend:
- Take a half gallon of HOT water, and mix it with a half-cup of Stain Solver and stir until the solution is completely dissolved.
- Pour the solution onto the stained grout lines. Another option here is to use a sponge to apply the solution to the tile and grout.
- Let the solution sit on the dirty grout for 30 to 45 minutes, or up to two hours if you have particularly grimy grout.
- Once you've let the solution sit and work its magic on your grout lines, you should take a stiff bristled cleaning brush and brush the grout.
(Note: If you're still seeing dirt on your grout, you may want to repeat the first three steps again. White grout that has lots of dirt, mold, and mildew may take more than one application.)
- Once you're satisfied with your freshly white grout you can rinse the area with clear water, and enjoy your clean floors!
It's really that easy to get remarkable results with Stain Solver!
Meaghan had been dreading cleaning her beautiful green slate floor for weeks. She was convinced the oxidation must have set in and that the grout discoloration had set in and she would never be able to restore it to its original glory. However, after a few applications of Stain Solver, Meaghan's worst fears were put to rest. Here's a photo of what her tile and grout looked like before she used Stain Solver.
She then used Stain solver according to the steps outlined above, and here was the result:
Here's what she told us about her experience:
"My "light grey" grout was at least 15-years-old and never sealed. I cleaned it with everything, including a bleach pen, to no avail. I couldn't believe how the Stain Solver solution, with a grout brush, could make such a difference!"
As you can see, there was a dramatic difference in the color of the grout! An eagle eyed reader may notice that there are still some places with dirt and grime, which is very true. Another soak with Stain Solver, or a bit more vigorous scrub will take care of this as well.
Why is Stain Solver such a good grout cleaner?
The secret to why Stain Solver works so well on grout comes down to the concentrated power of its active ingredient, Sodium Percarbonate. This is a safe and effective clenaing agent that, when mixed with water, uses the power of oxygen to lift stains from the grout, rather than just cover them up. Stain Solver has a high concentration of this active ingredient, which means that when you use it on tough stains, it's up to the task. Best of all, it doesn't release any noxious fumes like other cleaning products, and is safe to use around pets and children.
Stain Solver is the best way to whiten grout, remove dirt and grime, and make the chore of cleaning grout quick and easy.
